Bryggmannsholmen, of the village of Henningsvær in Lofoten, has historically been in use by generations of fishermen, Frederiksen’s sons. Lofoten cod has been important for the development of the nation, the stockfish produced in Henningsvær is a sought-after commodity internationally and is thus linked to the country's economic development and the improvement of the coast's infrastructure.
Today, Henningsvær has also become a popular tourist destination, It is one of the most colorful and charming fishing villages on the islands and is often called the “Venice of Lofoten”. The project ambition is to propose a holistic and true ecotourism experience. The new hotel and wellness resort will offer a qualitative and luxurious experience, in connection to the extraordinary nature and its context.
