Amesto Translations and TMF Group enter global partnership agreement

The agreement recently signed with TMF Group means that Amesto Translations becomes a strategic partner and the sole provider of translation, language and interpretation services to TMF's clients in many parts of the world. TMF Group has more than 100 offices in 75 countries and provides administrative services to companies operating within and beyond national borders.

TMF och Arild SpandowAmesto Translations is one of the largest providers of language services in the Nordic region and is the worlds 44th largest company within the LSP (Language Service Provider) sector. The agreement with TMF Group means that the world-wide company is expanding its range of services with translation, language and interpretation services from Amesto Translations. The partnership also presents new possibilities for Amesto's other business areas, mainly in accounting and payroll services.

-  Through the partnership agreement with TMF Group, Amesto Translations gains a global presence and therefore a greater competitive edge on the international stage. This is rather useful at a time when many of our existing clients are also increasing their international presence and therefore want a partner with local service offices worldwide. From a Nordic perspective, we are more or less alone in being able to offer this for our clients, says Managing Director for Amesto Translations in Sweden, Maria Andersson.

TMF Group has more than 6,000 employees spread across 100 offices in 75 countries. The company had a turnover of EUR 400 million in 2010 and provides administrative services for companies wishing to outsource set-ups and operations both domestically and abroad. The range of services on offer currently includes financial services, legal services, accounting, payroll, advice regarding taxation and VAT, local representation and administration.

- We are very pleased to have agreed this partnership with Amesto. Translation services are a natural complement to our existing range of services. Together we can help clients from every corner of the world, says Alexander Karlovics, Head of Translation Services at TMF Group.

- The agreement is strategically important for TMF. The new service offering ensures that companies in our portfolio of clients will be able to achieve the goal of communicating effectively with their customers on a global scale, says Armin Kirchner, Global Head of Corporate Services at TMF Group.

The wrong language can cost you dearly

More and more companies understand the importance of language that is free from mistakes. In the EU, the language industry has a turnover of SEK 85 billion, and the annual growth over the next five years is expected to be 10 % (1). The corresponding figure for the Nordic region is SEK 4 billion (2).

Correct translation or interpretation is essential, particularly in the health care and legal sectors. But professional language is also decisive in the world of business. A mistake in the translation of a contract can be very harmful, and an awkward presentation gives a very unprofessional impression and in the worst cases may result in lost business. It is also important that the translator understands the cultural context and knows the specialist terminology.
